— Lloyd Applegate, 72, of 318 E. Ninth, Georgetown, died at 3:10 a.m. today (May 16, 1969) at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, where he had been a patient one month. He was a retired farmer, having lived in the Indiana and Indianola areas. He had been employed in the Jamaica elevator for several years. He was born in Falcon County, Indiana, the son of James Harvey and Emma Lytle Applegate and had never married. Survivors are a brother, Bert Applegate of Mitchell, Ind., a half-brother, Edward Sealock of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Kendall of Danville, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Houghton Funeral Home with Orville Hubbart officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Sunday.--waw

Note: Although the obituary says and so does papemortuary.com that he was born in Falcoln County, Indiana, there is NO Falcoln County, Indiana - upon further investigation, his WWI draft registration information confirms his date of birth as March 17, 1897 and that he was born in Fountain County, Indiana.
